Exhibition and sale of historical paintings from all over Denmark ...
The Painting Archive sees it as its purpose to disseminate older – locally historical or topographically interesting – paintings from different parts of Denmark. A Denmark that no longer exists, but which different painters at different times have immortalized in their art.
The hope is that it can contribute to raising interest in our common past and in the landscape and urban values that still exist and are worthy of preservation. Values that are constantly threatened by development.
