Packed lunch house and campfire hut in a quiet forest area outside southern Jutland's Rødding.
Beautiful and quiet is this packed lunch house with a nice view of Jels Midtsø. The picnic house is located close to the path that goes around Jels Midtsø, at the edge of a larger grass/meadow area.
There is room for approx. 12 people at the tables under the roof. The tables are fixed.
Facilities: fire pit with grill grate, you must bring your own firewood or charcoal from home. There is no access to toilet or water.
You must park in the car park, which is located at Jels Voldsted, and follow the marked path around Jels Midtsø. The shortest way to a picnic hut is if you go west. There is approx. 2 km along a smooth and gravel path. You can drive with a pram, but you must be able to handle the stairs at the Witch's Bridge. Wheelchairs are not suitable.
It is free to use the packed lunch house, which cannot be booked and is available to everyone. We therefore hope that all users will find out how to share the space. And that you leave it in the same good condition that you came to. The packed lunch house belongs to the Danish Nature Agency.
