The Glacier Route takes you out into a landscape where the forces of the ice age can still be seen and felt. Here at Skelhøje near Viborg, you walk through hills and valleys created by the movement of glaciers, with paths that vary between beaten track, gravel, and asphalt. The Pearl offers both tranquility, variety, and some challenges along the way; a hike where nature and history go hand in hand, and where you can feel the imprint of the ice age with every step.

Skeldalen
In the area around Hald Lake, the ice has created a completely unique landscape. The landscape begins in Skeldalen – here you stand in front of the terminal moraine – exactly where the ice stopped 11,000 years ago. The route goes at the bottom of Skeldalen and continues around so you also get to the top of the valley and can see the fantastic view over the valley, Dollerup, and Hald Lake.
